Daze in a Maze

Today, Finley had her first Field Trip! Her Mother's Day Out program took a Fall Break Trip to visit Daze in a Maze in Marshall. It was a perfect place because there was a range of mazes and activities for the different age groups.

Devin's mom went with me which was great since Finley was still just a bit too young for most of it. She liked looking at the animals, but the horse scared her a bit. Her favorite part was the hayride. She LOVED it! And of course, she also loved watching all the big kids play.

With Big Kid Reagan... She is so happy sitting next to her!

Next year, we will definitely have to go again since Fin will be able to enjoy it even more!

(I think she's trying to give the whole place a hug!)

Our Little Ham

Yesterday, I picked Finley up from Mother's Day Out and was excited to hear how she had done for Picture Day.  Before I could get to her room, Mrs. Sheila (her main teacher) was in the hallway telling me how great Finley did and that her pictures were sure to be cute.  I was so happy since unlike normal school pictures (where you pay ahead of time for a package in the hopes that the one shot they take isn't completely horrible) they had a professional photographer who was planning to take 3-5 poses of each child.  She's even posting them in an online gallery so that we can choose which ones we like.

Well, as I was leaving with Finley, Mrs. Stephanie (who runs MDO) caught me and said that not only had Finley been super-happy for pictures, but that she was totally posing... in fact, at one point, she pulled her dress up and to the side to show off her little leggings!  I was cracking up!  She is such a ham!!!!!!!!  And then Mrs. Sheila chimed in that the photographer actually said "Please tell me all of them are going to be THIS easy!"  And they were like "NO!!!!!  They won't be!"

Apparently, all of our mini photo shoots definitely prepared Finley for her real one.  After our first two ventures with professional photographers, I'm relieved!  However, I did tell Devin that we'll probably hate all the pictures she took since we have such high expectations for them now!
