Today is a wonderful day! It's the day that my best friend and sister was born! I could not imagine my life without Beth! It's funny because I heard about her for months before she and I ever met. My boss at OSU and several other people I worked with would mention Beth and how they thought we should meet. I sort of rolled my eyes at it because I figured that we were the only two people left in our college town over the age of 21 and therefore the reason everyone thought we should be friends. We finally did meet at a Pampered Chef party and then at a lunch with some friends at Joseppi's, but it wasn't until a Women's Ministry event at church that we talked more. Then the next thing I know, she's asking me if I want to go to Tulsa with her to see her family after church one day and I said "Sure!" She later told me that she questioned my ability to go with her with absolutely no notice. She didn't know how pathetic I was that I literally had no plans EVER. HA! Who knew just a few months later we would literally be INSEPARABLE????
I am so thankful that God blessed me with such a wonderful friend who helps me grow and doesn't always tell me what I want to hear. Who loves me for being me and yet still expects me to better myself. I love that despite our lives constantly changing and the craziness of our schedules these days that we still always find a way to catch up and spend time together.
I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us. I say that every year and every year, God surprises me! I have my phone alarm set every day so that I can pray for Beth and for our friendship. God has been so faithful to give us each other and I treasure every aspect of our relationship!
