Finley's Birthday Week

I'm slowly trying to catch up on blogging and am getting my quicker posts out of the way first.  I can't wait to post the details of Finley's birthday party, but it'll have to wait until I have more time.

For Finley's birthday week, we did something "special" each day to celebrate!  Here's a little peek at what we did:

Monday: Hafer Park to feed the ducks and swing

Tuesday: Lunch with Daddy!  I forgot to take a picture while we were actually at lunch, but this was a big treat for us all!

Wednesday: Party Galaxy to buy balloons-- She picked them out... a Cars Balloon, a Micky Mouse Balloon, and an OSU Balloon.  So fitting of her right now!

Thursday: Zoo fun!  We brough lunch in from Sonic and ate it at the park...

Jude and Finley holding hands.  I need this one blown up super-size!  It melts my heart.

Finley riding on the train at the zoo.  Her favorite thing to do there!

Her and I watching the elephants.  The little baby is absolutely adorable!

Friday: We went to a different park and Finley loved this cool swing!

And going down the slide!!!!!

Saturday: We went to Toys R Us and let her pick out a toy.  We were planning to get her a Leapfrog Leapster, but the display was broken and she fell in love with the MobiGo by Vtech.  They were having a huge sale on it and the games seemed more age appropriate so it all worked out!

 Sunday: Eating a birthday cupcake!

At the movies!  We took Finley to see Lion King.  We had never taken her to the movie theater so this was HUGE!  We left Jude with the grandparents so it was a date for just Finley!

Horrible picture, but the movie was in 3D and Finley actually did great at keeping her glasses on.  The movie was a little scary in parts, but overall, it was a fun experience!

I love birthday week and now that Finley is getting older, it is even more fun and easier to plan things I know she'll enjoy!

Storybook Forest 2011

Last year was our first year to visit Storybook Forest and it instantly became my favorite fall tradition.  It's absolutely perfect!  It's family friendly.  No evil looking or scary masks, gremlins, vampires, etc.  Just a path that leads us through timeless stories with candy at each stop ending with a hayride and smores by a campfire.  What's not to love?

 The cow can stand! =)

 I love this face!

Two of my absolute favorite people!
We did have to wait a little while before going in which was kind of frustrating.
It opened 30 minutes later than the time announced.

Finally in and it was worth the wait!

 Old Woman in a Shoe

 Snow White

Humpty Dumpty

 Pinnochio

Finley was so excited about the tractor that pulled the hayride!

 Roasting marshmallows

Poor Jude stayed in the stroller most of the trip, but as usual, he was just fine with that!

Quick pic of the three of us.

The perfect ending to a perfect evening!
