On Wednesday when I was watching Liberty, she came across this engagement picture of me and Devin. It was taken almost five years ago and Liberty said "Wow, you were A LOT littler in this picture, huh?" And since we had already established that "littler" meant younger, I had to face the reality that I am definitely showing my age these days! Of course, if "littler" meant "littler" then that would be true as well since I'm a good 10 pounds heavier than I was in this picture as well! Either way, it made me smile.
On Thursday, I ran in Target for a few things before I picked Finley up from MDO and made a beeline to the toddler clothing section. I absolutely love shopping Target for baby clothes. They always have cute stuff and they are constantly getting new stuff in so it's one of my favorite places. Well, I was looking at a rack next to another mom who had a cart with two girls in it. The oldest girl said "Hey, Mom, look... those are what you put your boobs in, huh?" while pointing to the rack of bras conveniently located across from the toddler clothes. The mom nodded trying to ignore it, but then the daughter said "Mom, I REALLY think you need some more of those to put your boobs in! Do you want me to go get you some new ones?" I could feel this poor mom turning red and I looked at her and said "You just never know what they might say, do you?" And she obviously looked relieved and said "Oh, I'm so glad you realize that!" And I explained that my little girl was at MDO, but that I was sure there would be many similar embarrassing moments in store for me! She laughed and agreed!
On Friday, I was reading a blog about a mom who was desperately trying to teach her children modesty and was informed by her son's teacher that he had been skipping down the hall singing rather loudly "When I get married, I get to see my wife naked!!!!" Ha, ha!!!!!
I just love kids! They are way too cute!!!!
