Devin and I took Finley to an Easter Egg Hunt at the local university. It was absolute insanity! Finley loved every minute of it! With so many kids around, she was in heaven. Unfortunately, the egg hunt itself was over in less than 12 seconds since there was an overabundance of kids and a very small lawn of eggs! Finley did not have a chance to get even one egg so I let her pick up 2 eggs that were on the next age group's yard.... I couldn't let her leave her very first Easter Egg Hunt empty-basketed! Here are some of the pictures we took:
Someone was nice enough to take a family picture of us!
We had to snap this one after the hunt was over and the crowd had cleared.
This was before the hunt and you can see everyone getting ready!
This is why Finley wasn't able to get an egg... I think they forgot that with the 0-3 age group, parents have to assist!
Finley insisted on carrying both her basket and her backpack!
What a cutie!
When we got home from the hunt, our neighbors had us come over so that Finley could see the 2 baby bunnies that they were giving away at church the next day. Finley LOVED them, but would only get near them if I was holding them and she was on my lap!
That afternoon, we went to see my brother and Tracey who were in town celebrating Easter with her family. I was so excited to see them and Finley had a GREAT time with Allison and Grace. By the end, I was walking with Allison and Finley and I reached out to grab Finley's hand and she shook her head "No" and grabbed Allison's instead!!!! Allison was such a good little Momma to Finley and it was so fun to see her interacting with both Allison and Grace!

We had a couple of Easter Egg Hunts while we were there and Finley totally figured out the concept of putting the eggs in her basket! I was so impressed! She continues to amaze me!
Sunday:
Family pictures are ridiculously important to me... especially on holidays! At first, I wasn't overly pleased with our pictures... it was incredibly windy and sunny... the morning ones we took were rushed and my hair was flying backwards and then the afternoon ones ended up overexposed, but now that the day is over, I actually love how these few turned out!

How amazing it is to celebrate Christ's resurrection with my family! I can't fathom Christ's sacrifice fully, but what a joy it is to pass on His ultimate plan to the next generation. I have truly grown this Easter in sharing His truths with Finley and in preparing our hearts for this day. I am so humbled to be her mom... and most of all, His servant.

I'm so glad you like your pictures!!! I could see them before I could see the words and I was thinking you were crazy for not loving them! You are absolutely STUNNING!!!! And the three of you together...just gorgeous!!! Seriously! Loved finley's dress...loved the color coordination! :) The wind made the pictures look really neat though. LaLa!
