Little Baby C {LbC} Pregnancy: Inch by Inch from 4 to 40 {weeks}
Trimester: 2
How far along: 18 weeks
Size of baby: A bell pepper (5.5 ounces and 7 inches long)
What is going on with baby: ears are in final position, myelin is forming around nerves, fallopian tubes are in place if LbC is a girl and if LbC is a boy than his genitals are visible.
Total weight gain: +4
Maternity clothes: Not yet...
Gender Guess: Leaning towards girl, but am just anxious and can't wait any longer!
Movement: Lots of it! LbC has been moving more and more and like Finley, particularly loves to kick when the laptop is on my lap! I tend to feel LbC most lying in bed at night after I've stopped moving, but have begun to feel kicks even when I'm walking!
Food cravings: Mostly just carbs... really I am just craving all food! I'm always hungry!
Symptoms: Frequent bathroom trips, feeling pretty tired at the end of the day, and have had a few dizzy spells as well.
Sleep: Oh, the pregnancy dreams! I need to start writing them down. I dream about people I haven't seen or talked to in YEARS! As in 15 years... it is so crazy!
Best Moment This Week:
Finley wanted to tickle LbC which made me laugh. I am praying she will have an easy adjustment, but know that might not happen right away. Still it's fun to see her be excited about "baby".
Looking Forward To: Our ultrasound on MONDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Prayer for This Week:
Dear Lord, I pray for the sexual development that's going on in my baby's body. I thank You that You made us so wonderfully, and I pray that my baby's body and hormones will develop properly, just as You designed.
And Lord, I pray for sexual purity for my child. Help me to teach my child to follow Your ways, and give me wisdom to answer tough questions. Help me keep a watch over my child and protect him or her, as a godly parent should. Make my child strong against temptation and the pull of the world. I pray that he or she will not sacrifice godly principles for popularity. Instill Scriptures in his or her heart so that he or she does not sin against You. As Proverbs 119:11 says. Protect my family and keep us under the shelter of Your Holy Spirit.
