(I think I've finally caught up on LbC posts except for 19 weeks... somehow I forgot to post that one when I revealed the gender! I'm having a ton of formatting issues with Blogger so please ignore! And I posted a comparison pic on the 25 week post so you might want to scroll down if you're curious to see how pregnancy 1 and 2 look side by side!)
Little Baby C {LbC} Pregnancy: Inch by Inch from 4 to 40 {weeks}
Trimester: 2
How far along: 26 weeks
Size of baby: An English hothouse cucumber (whatever that is!) (A pound and 2/3 and 14 inches long)
What is going on with baby: his lungs are developing more and more and his testicles are beginning to descend.
Total weight gain: +10
Maternity clothes: A few... my friend, Mary, just gave me a ton of her maternity clothes to borrow so I'm super-excited! I have plenty from Finley, but Mary was due in February/March as well so she has some great winter stuff to add to my collection!
Gender: It's a boy!
Movement: He's getting stronger and I'm feeling him in new spots as he is getting longer!
Food cravings: I haven't been feeling as hungry this past week... it seems as soon as I eat anything I feel full! I am having to learn to eat really small meals!
Symptoms: I don't think I've mentioned it, but I am having a lot more pressure with LbC than I did with Finley. Dr. W says that is normal with the 2nd one since my muscles aren't as tight. She also said that he is REALLY low.
Sleep: Lots of heartburn (he better have hair!!!!!! ha, ha!) when I'm ready to go to bed and some crazier morning dreams than I've had in the last few weeks.
Best Moment This Week: Finalizing the nursery bedding after having to send my original plan back... I'm now making the bedding, but I'm excited about the color scheme. We also started painting the nursery walls. HOORAY!
Looking Forward To: Working on the bedding!
My Prayer This Week:
Father God,
I thank You for giving us spiritual insight through Your Word. I pray that my baby will grow to have sharp spiritual vision.
May he experience Your calling on his life at an early age. Open the eyes of his heart and enlighten his mind with Your Word. Fill his life with the glorious riches that are the inheritance of Your people. Fill his life with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and temperance. As his mother, I stand for him in prayer and claim the promises in the Bible for him.
And Lord, I pray for my baby's eyes that they will open and see this week or sometime very soon, according to what is right for his development. Please give my child perfect vision. If there is anything that threatens my baby's sight, I ask You to heal him right now and create a perfect retina, optical nerve and perfect interpretation of the image displayed in his brain. In
