Father's Day Weekend

Finley and Daddy

We had a great Father's Day Weekend!  Saturday morning we woke up early and drove to Tulsa.  Finley and I had a wedding shower to attend for my soon-to-be sister-in-law, Tracey.  Devin dropped us off and then went to lunch with my brother.  The shower was a lot of fun and they did a good job of incorporating my brother into the shower.  I've never been on the groom side before so it was nice to see the effort Tracey's friends made to make it about both of them.  The shower was held at a chapel and there was a great mirror in the bathroom.  Unfortunately, I didn't have my good camera with me because it was a perfect photo op for Finley.  Here is the best one that I took with my point-and-shoot:

After the shower, we went to see the new house that my brother and Tracey just bought.  We hung out there for a little while and caught up with my brother and Tracey's family.  Here Finley is trying to "pet" Maverick:

We went to see my dad in the early afternoon and he absolutely loved playing with Finley.  She loved Grandpa Bill as well and fussed when he tried to put her down to crawl.  We were hoping the cows would come up closer for her to see, but no such luck this time.

After we hung out at his house for awhile, we went to dinner together.  Finley had been great all day, but by dinner time, she was tired (missed her afternoon nap) and didn't want to be confined to her carseat any longer.  She grunted her frustration during the last part of the meal and once we freed her, she spilt Devin's water all over the table.  She almost spilt mine as well, but Grandpa Bill caught it just in time.  We're going to have to more watchful of her "tentacles" from now on! =) We really just had a great time with my dad and brother though and it was fun to spend some quality time with them.

On Sunday, we were bad and skipped church.  We were exhausted from our long day before and Finley took a super long morning and afternoon nap so I think she needed a day of "routine" as well.
In the morning, Finley and I gave Devin his Father's Day present.  He wanted a fertilizer spreader, but we're going to let him pick that out himself.  We did buy him a book titled "She Calls Me Daddy" and helped personalize his card though:

That evening, we went to Grandma Jan and PaPa's house to celebrate Father's Day with Devin's parents.  Here are some cute pictures from our time over there:

It's so fun to see the cousins together and know that as Finley gets older, they will be playing together even more!
