Finley seems to be adjusting well to the newest addition. She absolutely loves Sophia and will tell her "Hi" over and over again. She also continually checks on her in the swing and yesterday, I caught her trying to give Sophia her binky.

I am so thankful for my "adaptable" baby. Last week was a bit difficult because Finley would not nap. It would take me forever to get her to sleep which I realized was a case of accidental parenting from vacation. Being in a strange place made it really tough to get Finley to sleep so I would hold her until she was deep, deep asleep and then lay her in the pack-n-play. When we came home, apparently, I continued doing this and by Wednesday of last week, I was exhausted.
"Before"
I consulted the Baby Whisperer who has never let me down. How thankful I am to have a method that works for me and most importantly, for Finley! Thursday was a little rough as I began sleep training 101, but by Friday, our little girl was putting herself to sleep once again and I was thoroughly mad at myself for not taking care of it sooner. On Monday, Devin was able to get her to sleep easily which has never, ever been the case. We've had a few sleep set-backs since Friday, but all were my fault... when will I learn? =) I continue to be impressed, however, with how easy it was for Finley to pick up on our new sleep routine.
"After"
So far, I definitely think Finley is going to enjoy having a little brother or sister one day. And simply because I've been asked 4 times in the last week... we don't know when we will start trying for another baby. We recently switched insurances so we can guarantee it'll be after we have maternity coverage again which won't be until we've met the 365 day waiting period! We are hopeful that if and when God blesses us with another baby that Finley will be as excited as she is about Sophia!
