Today, I became a mom to 2 under the age of 1! For the next six weeks, we have a new addition to our family! Sophia! Her mom works with Devin and needed childcare for a few weeks until her mom could take over permanently in October. I jumped at the chance to watch her!
Sophia arrived this morning before Finley was up so when I brought her downstairs to see Sophia, Finley looked at her and started waving and repeating "Hi" over and over again. It was precious! Obviously, Finley needs a sibling!
Our first day went pretty well. I think this first week will be the most difficult since I don't know Sophia's schedule yet, but fortunately, some of the nap times seem to be overlapping which will be a nice break for me each day.
The only real hardship occurred when I was trying to defrost Sophia's bottle and couldn't get it warm quickly enough. She was hysterical and Finley looked at me like "Mom, what is wrong with her? Please make her stop!" which then led to Finley becoming hysterical since she didn't know what was going on. I had two screaming babies and couldn't console either of them. Thankfully, Finley calmed down quickly after Sophia had her bottle.
This will definitely be good practice for me, but I don't think I'll have any trouble falling asleep tonight!
