Little Baby C {LbC} Pregnancy: Inch by Inch from 4 to 40 {weeks}
Trimester: 3
How far along: 31 weeks
Size of baby: four oranges (3.3 pounds, 16 inches long)
What is going on with baby: he can turn his head from side to side, he’s adding a lot more fat and heading for a growth spurt!
Total weight gain: +13 I maintained which I was pretty excited about since I was in the hospital this week and couldn’t keep anything down. I bet all the holiday food will enable me to put on at least 2 more pounds before my doctor’s appointment next week!!!! =)
Wedding Rings: Both still fit
Feet: I can still see them!
Belly Button: Half in/ half out
Stretch Marks: Not that I can tell.
Linea Negra: Not yet.
Maternity clothes: YES!
Food cravings: I’ve had a lot of heartburn lately so I haven’t been craving much of anything this week especially since I was sick. =(
Labor Signs: Pressure and a few contractions! This has made me realize just how quickly LbC could be here. If he were to come early like Finley did, we would only have 7 more weeks until we meet our little man!
Sleep: I haven’t been sleeping too well this week because I’ve been in nesting mode! I keep thinking of all that I could be doing instead of sleeping!
Best Moment This Week: Hearing LbC’s heartbeat so much when I was in the hospital! I rarely get to hear it more than just a few seconds so it was so nice to hear it for quiet a while on Friday.
LbC’s room is beginning to feel like a nursery. Devin finished the walls and we hung the curtains and moved the dresser in. It is so great to see it coming together and imagining bringing LbC home to his room!
Looking Forward To: Working on the bedding some more, my next doctor’s appointment, and LbC’s shower in a few weeks!
My Prayer This Week:
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for the privilege of knowing You. Thank You for the peace You give. Lord, I come to you, not frantic or worrying, but with a calm spirit, knowing You are here with me.
I pray that my baby will be born into a peaceful, calm atmosphere and have a peaceful, calm spirit. Help my child to grow up knowing You and having Your peace in his heart, no matter what situations he encounters.
Lord, help me create a secure, calm, peaceful atmosphere in our home--one where love can thrive.
And dear Lord, I pray that my baby will develop a strong immune system. Protect my child from disease and illness. Help me feed my baby the best way I can; whether it's by breastfeeding or by bottle, help him to get the nourishment he needs on a daily basis.
I praise You and thank You in Jesus' name. Amen.
