On March 24th, Jude SMILED... REALLY smiled!!!!!!! Not an accidental smile or one from gas, but a real smile. He looked straight at me and smiled. It was the sweetest thing ever! With Finley, I remember being sad that I never marked her first smile. All of a sudden I just realized that she was smiling and couldn't remember her ever not being able to. I am so glad that I can file away Jude's first smile in my mommy memory bank! I don't think I'll ever get over how much I love him!!!!!!! Oh, my word, he is just simply the sweetest thing ever! And this week, I finally captured this sweet smile of his! I just love the open mouth ones!
Another first... Jude slept 9 hours straight last night!!!! I definitely have been less focused on getting Jude to sleep through the night than I was with Finley. Jude has been a really good sleeper from the beginning so I am not feeling very sleep deprived. Finley was a great sleeper as well, but her middle of the night feedings were longer and therefore I was fully awake by the time they were over and had a difficult time falling back to sleep. With Jude, this hasn't been a problem. I also feel it's best to encourage feeding free nights once a baby weighs 10 pounds and Jude isn't there yet so I haven't even worried about it. I doubt that he will consistently sleep through the night for awhile, but that's okay with me. He is so adorable snuggled tight, fast asleep.... My precious, precious boy!
