Evi's First Well Check

I forgot to take a picture of her at her doctor's appointment, but I took this one of her right before we left.

Today, I took Evi with Jude in tow to her 2 week well check appointment.  This was our third appointment since she was born as we had already had two weight check appointments.  I was so excited to see Dr. K again.  He came by the hospital, but then went on vacation.  It was nice to be back with our regular doctor.  He looked Evi over and thought she looked perfect.  I have been very paranoid this go round even though Evi is my third.  I find myself googling things every 5 minutes to see if they're normal.  It was definitely nice to have Dr. K say that he saw nothing to be concerned about!

Evi is back up to her birth weight... actually an ounce over.  She is weighing 6 pounds 14 ounces and I couldn't be more excited!  I had such a hard time getting Jude back up to his birth weight so it was nice to know that feeding is going better this time around!  She's in the 25th percentile in weight.  She measured 20.5 inches long so as we suspected her length in the hospital was wrong!  As soon as they told me she was 19.5 inches long, I said "Really?  She seems longer than that!"  And both Beth and Devin immediately said that they hadn't stretched her leg out to measure so I had a feeling that it was wrong.  There is no way she grew an inch in two weeks!  She is in the 75th percentile in length.  Her head measurement was 13.5 and in the 25th percentile.  Devin and I think her head looks soooooooooo small so we were surprised she wasn't in the 5th percentile!

We are so thankful that our little girl is healthy!  She is already such a blessing and we are enjoying every minute of her!
