We took Evi's newborn pictures yesterday. I was a nervous wreck about them because they were scheduled for naptime and I was going to have all 3 of the kids by myself. Evi's pictures would be for the first 1-2 hours and then we were going to try to bring in Jude and Finley at the end. So after driving for 40 minutes, I put on a movie and entertained Finley and Jude in the car while our photographer shot Evi. Usually, newborn shots consist of frequent nursing to get them to sleep so I was just praying that my very ALERT little girl would cooperate and thankfully, she did! I fed her right when I got there and they managed to get all of her pictures done without me needing to nurse her again. I think having an experienced newborn photographer helped with that!
Finley and Jude actually did pretty well in the car, but once I got them out of the car, it was pretty much a disaster! Finley was somewhat cooperative, but Jude was not at all. He just wanted to be anything but still and as soon as I would throw him in the picture, Finley would move or Evi would wake up, etc. It was so exhausting. I know she got at least one cute picture of Finley and Evi together and think she got one of the three of them looking in the general direction of the camera, but I doubt she was able to get anything else. Even though I'm disappointed, I knew expecting Jude at his age to sit and smile at a camera was asking a bit too much! =)

the very first thing i did when I seen the newborn pic of Evi was Ah, so heavenly. She truly is a blessing, and so beautiful just like her mommy.
