After being gone for almost 10 days straight, I have much to blog about... including a trip to Dallas and a trip to New Mexico. Unfortunately, I also have mountains of laundry, thousands of pictures to sort through, and days of Bible Study to catch up on before I can even begin to think about a post detailing our adventures.
I couldn't, however, not blog today because after 8 1/2 months of waiting, Finley finally has a tooth that is about to appear!!!!!!
She has had very red cheeks the last couple of days and I was quite afraid that she had gotten a bad sunburn. After months of anticipation, I had begun to discount teething as a reason for anything including rosy cheeks, bad diapers, unusual sleeping patterns, etc. I was quite shocked today when I happened to see a shiny white-ish spot on her gums while playing with her after lunch. I have faithfully felt her gums each and every morning, but even though I still can't "feel" anything, there is no mistaken the spot on her gums where her tooth is about to emerge! And so far, she is handling it quite well. No fussy behavior... at least not yet! =)
Just think how cute her smile is going to be with a pearly little tooth sticking up!
